I'm flying into Heathrow checked through to Edinburgh - both coming into and flying out of Terminal 5. Am I going to have to go through customs in Heathrow or will I just transfer to Edinburgh and go through it when I get off in Edinburgh? Thanks,

Immigration in Heathrow, customs in Edinburgh, presuming you are able to through-check bags. Not that you will notice customs much, although your bag may come on a different carousel.
