international drivers license in Ireland

Hi,

Will be touring Ireland by a rented car this summer and wondering whether it would be a good idea to carry an International Drivers License? Is there a difference between an international Drivers License and an International drivers Permit????

Not needed. They will take your USA State issued DL

No reason to get an International Drivers License, your USA license will be all that is needed.
