Inner Hebrides

Here's one option, though since it's a day tour, I'm not sure it's what you have in mind. From Oban, you can take a two or three island tour. I believe the tour company is Bowman or something like that -- it's in Rick's book. You leave fairly early in the morning and return at 8:00 in the evening. You take a ferry to Mull, a bus ride to the other end of Mull, take a ferry to Staffa (if you choose the three isle tour, which I highly recommend), wander around Staffa for about 90 minutes on your own, take a ferry to Iona, wander around there on your own, then head back. It's a wonderful way to see three islands in an easy and efficient manner.
