I'm at the central hotel . Tomorrow I'd like to go to the grand hotel to catch a boat tour. But I'm having difficulty figuring out the best way to get there. My foot is sore, so ok trying to walk as little as possible. Us there a bus that goes there? And more generally, would a bus map (I assume I get from central station) be helpful?

Why don't you ask your hotel? I'm sure they have local transportation information that is more complete and up-to-date than what you would get from us.
I also would suggest that you ask at your hotel ...

The closest tunnelbana stop for the Grandhotel is Kungsträdgården.
You can get bus info from the SL Center at T-Centralen and also on this website.
Just take a taxi.
