I am looking to purchase a guidebook for a trip to Iceland in May. I cant find any books with good reviews on amazon, and i cant find a Rick Steves guide on this site. Does anyone recommend a certain guidebook? Thanks!!

We loved, loved, loved Iceland! Hope you have a great trip. We picked up a copy of Lonely Planet Iceland, and it was pretty comprehensive. Good luck!

We used the Lonely Planet guide as well but preferred the Bradt guide because it covered our areas of interest more thoroughly. Both of us are into hiking and bird-watching and the Bradt guidebook seemed to have more information that was relevant to our trip. Have a wonderful trip. Thank you so much! The lonely planet guide is from 2010 and had poor reviews on amazon. I heard better things with the Brandt book. I will purchase it thank you and I will check out your blog for sure- I can't wait for the trip! Best wishes
