Even though Rick doesn't travel to Iceland, we'd like to. Anyone familiar with Iceland and have hints to offer? Thanks
Scroll down to the Oct 16 messages and you'll find some suggestions. We were there last April and absolutely loved it. Intend to go again. Depending on when you go, flights and hotels can be very inexpensive. Nothing else will be though.
Iceland is spectacular. Many great sites are near Reykjavik, which can be used as an effective base. Consider the Golden Circle including Geyser and Thingvellir, Thorsmark and the south coast areas, the Blue Lagoon, and whale watching. Reykjavik has about a day or two worth of sites. Iceland can also be added easily to a trip to or from Europe. PM for more info.
Take a look at the Iceland Air website, and sign up or their email for new offers on flights or packages. They now fly direct from Seattle which is a bonus for you. Don't have tips for Iceland, haven't been there yet either.
