Iceland

Hi Ann, I was only in Iceland for 24 hours (a short stopover on the way home from Europe), so only got to the Blue Lagoon - but it was very nice - a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. There is an inn just down the road that is just great- the Northern Lights Inn (http://www.northernlightinn.is/). It looks like a motel in the middle of a lava field - but the food is excellent, it's family run, and very friendly! The restaurant menu is small - a meat and fish dish special every night, and then a few standards. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Karen
