We are going to be in London for four days at the beginning of July. We'd like to attend a performance at the Globe Theater (in the standing area- we're super cheap). I would rather wait until we get there to see what the weather will be like. Does anyone have experience with waiting to get tickets? Do those "groundling" tickets sell out regularly? Thanks.
In general, tickets to the Globe should be purchased as far in advance as possible. Have you checked their website? I don't know if groundling tickets are available at the last minute as we had seats.
But I will tell you that standing is not easy. We were quite amused at the number of young people
who were being led out feeling faint!!! It was also
jammed with school groups in July. Schools in the UK don't close until late July.
This is not reliable but they are forecasting a warm summer in the UK this year but you never know!!!
Hi Sue,
I went to the Globe late July of 2007 and there were groundling tickets available. However the lines were long to get to the counter so take that into consideration. Enjoy your trip I know my 4 days in London were awesome and can't wait to return hopefully this October. Pam
