As I was in a London laundrette one morning, I began looking through a copy of a newspaper they had there. I found a small article telling readers that a number of "production seats" had been made available for the a concert the next evening at Royal Albert Hall. I never learned the derivation of the term "production seats," but I got a very good seat at the last minute.

Yes, we do have such a thing in the States. I'm glad to learn that the practice exists in Europe, too. Next time I'm overseas, I'll ask at the venues I'm interested in.
