I will be touring Ireland and will need an inexpensive room or place to stay within commuting distance to the airport for the nights of April 26, 2008 and also May 2, 2008 for a party of two. Would appreciate any suggestions?

Try Grafton Guest House on South Great George's Street in the city center (www.graftonguesthouse.com). Bus 16A from the Dublin Airport stops 15 feet from their front door - or it's only about a 6 minute walk over to the Aircoach bus stop near the tourist information center on Suffolk Street.
