Hotels in London - 3 in 1

My family and I will be spending our first vacation abroad in June 2013. We will be spending 6 nights in London, and 6 nights in Yorkshire. I'm trying, semingly in vain, to find a good hotel that has a room with 3 single beds, 2 queen beds or a queen/king with one single bed. Does anyone know of any hotels that would fit the bill?

pls descibe good hotel and price range. and are you willing to stay in a centrally type located small hotelm b&b style? There are many chains that may suit you in London like www.travelodge.uk. Or Premier Inn.
I would consider these a moderate style chain hotel but diff than our travelodge in USA:

Look for "family rooms." We stayed in a number of places with 3 singles. In the lower price range we had a lovely triple at the Luna Simone and a very cramped basement triple at the Desmond Jene.

Thanks for the suggestions. I want a clean hotel with a good track record of customer satisfaction, comfortable beds close to (5-10 minute walk) of some restaurants (local fare). As far as cost, I'd say in the 1500 - 2200 GBP price range for 6 nights stay. Whether chain hotel or B&B or boutique hotel doesn't really matter.

As Ruth says the trick is to ask about Family Rooms. These are the ones that will have three twins or some variation on that. Pam

Have you considered an apartment rental? We have used them in many countries. We like Being able to spread out. On a couple of trips we did get a room for three and were so cramped. Rooms in Europe are very small compared to what we are used to here.

Use airbnb.com. Simply make certain properties are in Zones 1 & 2. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/large-print-tube-map.pdf Will save on transport cost. Might also look at: http://www.rentals.chslondon.com, http://www.astons-apartments.com/accommodation_info.htm, http://www.absoluteaccommodations.com or http://gowithit.co.uk/london/ Personally I like airbnb because you talk directly to the owner via email and get to know the person before you commit. I always for the exact address so I can google map the place via satellite view to check out the neighborhood, closest coffee shop, public transport, restaurants, etc. AND I make certain there is a photo of the owner on the page and at least a half dozen reviews. Happy travels.
GREAT city.

Jeff, check out Fleet River Rooms in London. It is a very popular bakery with studio apartments upstairs, each with a double bed and a sofa bed. Rate for triple occupancy is 130 GBP. Read the reviews on Tripadvisor and then decide. It is in a good central area near Holburn tube station.

I also recommend an apartment. I use vrbo.com and homeaway.com for apartments rented directly from the owners. There is usually a cost savings doing it that way.

I would also agree that an apartment from VRBO is a great choice. With three kids I found that we were much more comfortable in apartments. There can also be extra benefits. Many places, recently Prague and Budapest, include washing machines. One also gets to meet the local person with the apartment. Tomorrow we will go to Rome for three days. We will stay (just two of us this time) near the Pantheon for 100 Euros. One last comment, this company has never disappointed us. We used them for trips to Argentina, Hawaii, Mexico, Belize, Prague, Budapest and more, over many years. Good Luck!

In London we had the family room at B&B Belgravia. That was a full bed (maybe double, maybe queen, I don't remember, but fine for 2 adults), and 2 single beds suitable for one person each. I liked the hotel and the location, as well.
