I would like to stay at an inexpensive hotel near the the train stations in Glasgow and Edinburgh. I'll be traveling next month for one night in each city. You suggestions will be appreciated.

In Edinburgh, we like to stay at the Royal British. It is across Princes St. from Waverly Station. Very convient to the station and an easy walk across the bridge to Old Town. They serve a good breakfast, too.
