Hotels/B&B near Shannon airport

43 miles, 1 hour and 8 minutes driving, 10 miles approx motorway, rest country roads, scenic and interesting. If you're heading for the Cliffs from Shannon, I'd head into Ennis for Hotel/B&B, the West County Inn on the way into Ennis would be a good spot. Wouldn't be inclined to stay in Shannon, but Newmarket-on-Fergus is a nice local village where you should be able to pick up a B&B. A lot probably depends on how you're travelling, the above assumes you're driving.

There are lots of nice B&Bs along the Bunratty road, behind Bunratty castle, just six miles from the airport. On our first trip to Ireland, we stayed our first night in Liscannor, at Moher Lodge. It's on the Cliffs road, about a five minute drive from the cliffs themselves.
