Hotel w/free parking - west end of London

We will have a car all three weeks we're in England. I'm seeking suggestions for a hotel with free parking in the western burbs of London, preferably near public transportation. We will be driving to this location following 3 days in the Cotswolds. (Our first week will be sightseeing in East Anglia around Oakham. Our third week will be spent in the Kent area.) I found a hotel that fits the bill at a Premier Inn in Beckton (easy walk to the DLR). It just seems that we ought to be able to get something more on the west end of London. I'd sure appreciate some suggestions!

I doubt that you will find such an animal. Also you need to become aware with the 'congestion zones' and the applicable charges. Driving and parking in London are both very expensive- this is on top of the expensive cost of petrol.

I doubt that you will be able to find free parking at any hotel in or around London. Don't even think of driving into central London...not worth the cost or aggravation unless you just enjoy a challenge! I'm assuming that's why you want to be close to public transport. I think if you go far enough out of the city center you might be able to find something with cheaper parking but then you will probably end up paying even more by taking public transport from zone 3 or 4 and you'll eat up a lot of time as well. Just stay closer to the center and pay for parking...or just turn in the rental car for the middle week when you'll be in London? Good luck!

The Quality Hotel Hampstead in NW London says it has free parking. It's near Hampstead Heath and just a few minutes' walk to the Finchley Road Tube station (Zone 2), about 15 mins. into central London on the Jubilee Line. I came across this when I was thinking about staying up in Hampstead.
