We are ending our travels and flying out of Shannon,Ireland. What is the best hotel close to the airport? We will have turned in the car the day before and need to be at the airport by 7:30am

One of the most convenient is the Oak Wood Arms; there's a gas station nearby for the last fill-up the night before. It's not the Ritz, but good enough for the last night, with big enough rooms to spread out your stuff for that last attempt at packing before the trip home. Rates on booking.com are decent.

A better option than Shannon would be the Bunratty area. There are a number of nice B&Bs along the road behind the castle. It's just six miles from the airport.

We booked a room at Dunaree B&B in Bunratty, so we could be near Shannon Airport. Since we haven't stayed there before I'm only recommending it by the reviews on trip advisor.
