Hotel in London's Victoria Station Area

I'm looking for help selecting a hotel in London's Victoria Station Area. When we were there last time, we stayed at the Winchestor Hotel on Belgrave Road. I found out that they have apparently sold the hotel to Best Western and as a result, several things have changed including no full English breakfast (which was a real treat). Anyway, we are trying to locate another hotel in the area that is clean, has reasonable rates and hopefully has a good breakfast. Your help is truly appreciated. Thanks.

The Lime Tree Hotel on Ebury St. is my favorite in that area. Not the cheapest place, but great location and super friendly and helpful staff. I've stayed there 3 times - enjoyed every stay.

Just a little down the Belgrave Road from the Winchester at around the same price is the Luna & Simone, probably the best traditional B&B in Central London.
You may have noticed the Quality Hotel on your last stay, this has been refurbished and is now the Premier Inn Victoria, a no frills budget chain hotel a little more expensive, but has the best reputation of this ilk in the UK. The Vitoria has been getting very good feedback.
The Lime Tree is another sought out property for some reason, but arguably over priced though nice enough.

There are also 2 Comfort Inn's that are fine in this price bracket but with volatile pricing.

Most of the small hotels in this district/price are cheap and not so cheerful. If budget is really important try the easyHotel Victoria or the Jubillee Hotel.

We have stayed at both the Lime Tree and the Elizabeth Hotel. I Personally prefer the Elizabeth, as there is a wider choice of rooms. http://www.elizabethhotel.com/

I booked the double with a sink in the room, but the toilet/ shower was outside the room (but private to our room only). Saved something like 20 pounds a night. There is a lovely garden that they have access to in the square.

It was about a 5 minute walk from Victoria station where there is a market and tube station, plus the trains to Gatwick. A few good pubs are in the area.

I believe the breakfast was a full English, but honestly can't remember.

George,

You might have a look at This Hotel in the Victoria Station area. I found the rooms were very comfortable, the breakfasts were great and the owners wonderful. Full English breakfast is included in the room price.

Happy travels!

We stayed at the Winchester two years ago. The location was great, breakfast good, rooms were clean, but nothing fancy.
