Can anyone recommend a hotel in Belfast for one night. We will have a car so parking is an important consideration.
I am on the fence as well about whether Belfast is a must see on our 17-day trip around Ireland. Any suggestions for yea or nae on Belfast?
Hello Kathy, "Yea" to Belfast. It was fascinating. Arrange a tour with Ken Harper. You can Google his name. His private tour was reasonably priced and extremely informative. Going to Belfast without a tour from a local would be unfortunate. You will come away amazed at the "Troubles". Also, the Titanic Museum is now open. I have friends who recently toured it and found it fascinating. We stayed at the Jurys Inn due to its central location and reasonable price. It was a nice modern hotel. There is parking close by at a garage. There is a fee to park, but it is close by. I would definitely go to Belfast, but be sure to take a tour. There are also "Black Cab" tours that are good. Ken himself took us on our tour. He made our visit to Belfast make sense.
Have fun!
Thomas, Thank you so much for your reply. Just what I needed to get myself off the fence and excited about Belfast. Have sent an email to Ken Harper to arrange a tour. We were looking at Jurys Inn, so happy that you confirmed it as a place to stay.
Happy Travels to you.
Hi Kathy,
You won't regret your time in Belfast, especially with Ken's tour. Jury's is fine, especially for location. You can pull up in front to unload and get directions to parking. If you have time, the Antrim Coast of N. Ireland is spectacular. Have a great trip. My wife and I leave for Wales, England, and France in 2 weeks.
