Looking for a centrally located hotel in Bath for 1 night (midweek) Any feedback on Pratt's or Dukes? Or should we go the B&B route?

Surprisingly, we found an excellent deal last October at the Hilton in Bath (Yes, I know! Not a good RS rec.). I had tried to get a room at several of the B&Bs Rick lists in his book but had no luck. We finally went with the Hilton which is just 2 blocks from the Abbey and the Roman Baths. Our room overlooked the river (lovely) and the price included breakfast. Amazingly, the price was comparable to the B & Bs I had been trying to reach. Not much charm but comfy beds!

Try The Henry. www.thehenry.com or enquiries@thehenry.com. It's a small, comfortable B&B about two blocks from the train station and within easy walking distance from the town center. I stayed there last fall for several days. One night will not seem like enough!

I think the most convenient hotel location wise
in Bath is the Abbey (I believe it is a Best
Western). Around the corner from the Roman
Baths and across the street from the Parade Grounds.
The train station is just a 3-4 blocks away.
