We need to stay close to the airport on our last night in Dublin. Can anyone recommend a hotel? Budget: under $140. Also, what is the best (cheapest/easiest) way to travel b/t downtown and the airport? How long does it take?

There is a Bewlewys and a Holiday Inn Express that both should fall within that price range. They both have shuttles to the airport. The Dublin City Bus is the cheapest way to get into the city,sorry can't remember the bus number,but takes the longest and luggage can be a problem at certain times. The Airlink and Aircoach cost about 7 Euro.per person and take approx. 45 minutes, depending on the time of day. A taxi will cost about 25-30 Euro and is certainly the most convenient.

We stayed in the Bewley's hotel by the airport. Nice hotel, good prices. It is in the middle of nowhere out there, though, nothing around it but horses. The hotel does have its own restaurant. There's a free shuttle to the airport that runs about every 20 minutes. From the airport, you can catch a regular Dublin Bus into downtown. There's several, you can either ask a worker there by the bus stop or run in the airport and ask at the Dublin Bus desk.
