I am leaving from London Heathrow at 6:30AM. Do you know any hotel close by at Heathrow (may be within walking distance to the airport)? I am not sure what terminal I will be at but I am flying with Luftansa. Most of the hotel I checked around Heathrow airport provide shuttle to the airport start at 6AM - which doesn't work to me. Any suggestion?

I've stayed at the Heathrow Hilton, it's directly connected to Terminal 4.
I was there on business, so I'm not 100% sure what the price was, but I can pretty much guarantee it wasn't cheap.

Lufthansa uses Terminal 2.

You could also try a bid on priceline.com.

I did a web search yesterday due to a posting on this website about the new pod hotel at Heathrow. I found that there is a new Yotel at Heathrow where you can get a room for a minimum of 4 hours for 25 pounds. The room didn't look to bad - pretty basic and small, just a place to sleep right a the airport.

There must be dozens of hotels and bnbs within a very short distance of Heathrow. I stayed at Heathrow Lodge on Old Bath Road. The shuttle did start at 6 am, but people were leaving earlier by taxi. The shuttle ride was about 10 min, so I imagine that a taxi ride would not be expensive. If you stay where there is someone at the desk 24 hours, they can call a taxi for you whenever you want.
