Does anyone know of a reasonably priced hotel/apartment in the Kensington area that is within walking distance of the Paddington Station? We are traveling with an 11 year old grandson and would like acommadations in this area. Thank you Dorsey

Kensington isn't all that close to Paddington Station. If you need to be walking distance to Paddington Station, the closest area is Paddington. Notting Hill, Marylebone, and Bayswater are also closer to Paddington Station than Kensington, so maybe a hotel in one of those areas would work. "Reasonably priced" means different things to different people. What is your budget?

We stayed twice at Royal Court Apartments on Gloucester Terrace, 4 blocks from Paddington, within walking distance of 2 Tube stops and half a block north of Hyde Park. Our costs were £65 in 2004 and £85 in 2006. Should be about £100 now, unless you are in London during Olympics in mid year.

Dorsey - The Falcon Hotel is really close to Paddington Station.
