Holy Cross Abbey Tipperary

Has anyone taken public transport from Thurles to Holy Cross Abbey? I know the rail stops in Thurles, but from there,, is it walkable? Or would a taxi be necessary? I haven't been able to find a local bus service.. Thank you!
