Hiking the Cotswold Way

My friend and who would like to do some hiking on the Cotswold Way in late April of next year. We're looking for ideas on how to do it. We'd like to spend about 5-7 days... I don't think we can make the whole "Way"...where to start and end....go with an agency that'll transfer our luggage everyday on to the next stop...just do circular tours in different areas of the Cotswolds..We'll probably be taking the train from London....do we need to rent a car? Lots of questions. Your input will be greatly appreciated! Judy

Judy, there is a fantastic book out, Tea Shop Walks in the Cotswolds. It has 28 different walks. It's by Norman & June Buckley.

Judy, I my friend and I are plotting this walk as well for Aug of 2014. First choice is Coast to Coast but CW is shorter and there are sure to be more..how to put this delicately .. toilets. There are many books of The Cotswolds Way. Ideally one starts in Chipping Campden and the walk ends in Bath. Bath having more transportation options for you to get home! Sherpa Van will transport your luggage from stop to stop(but only in the direction I have mentioned)and I do not know what they charge.. yet. So you only have to carry what you need for the day. Also many B&B's will make you a lunch for £5 or so. Also there is a series of books called Tea Shop Walks...by county. Tea Shop Walks in the Cotswolds is a little hard to get ahold of for a reasonable price. As the titles suggest you end up near a tea shop. My kind of day....
