Has any one done the 4 day (3 night) independent walking hike along the WICKLOW WAY- from Enniskerry to Glendalough? Was it worth the time?
Are there day hikes around Dingle and the Ring of Kerry that gave beautiful coastal views? Were there hikes in the Killarney region that you would recommend?
I just got back from a month in the RoI and NI, part of my objective was to scout hiking areas for the times I get let off the leash to travel alone. I put 4000 km on the car, so saw most areas. Wicklow looked like it would be all the same, day after day.
It looked like there were plenty of trails on the Dingle and Kerry peninsulae, but the Beara and Sheeps Head looked better. I did get two 'escaped' days in County Donegal -- that will be my next place.
There were hiking signs all over Ireland especially in Kerry. You can also hike all along the Cliffs of Moher. Here are a couple of web sites to review.
