Hi there, My fiance and I will be staying in HI hostels in Iceland for a total of 6 or 7 nights. Is it worth it for the two of us to purchase HI cards? I think they are about $35 each, so $70 together. I am just unsure if it will be a good decision? Also, are the HI hostels in Iceland for members only? I know some of the one's in Europe were like that. Thanks,

Kaitlyn, You'll have to do some number crunching to compare the member cost per night compared to the non-member cost. That should provide an indication on whether it's "worth it". It's possible that the Hostels in Iceland may be limited to members only, so it would probably be a good idea to have the membership anyway. I usually renew my membership each year, even if I'm not planning on staying in HI Hostels. Happy travels!
