Hethrow or Gatwick

Any suggestions for lodging prior to a 6:30am flight out or Hethrow or Gatwick? (we haven't booked the flight yet)

Yotel

There's one at both Heathrow and Gatwick. You pay by the hour and both are located within the airport itself. If there are more than two of you, you'll need to get two rooms.

We have NEVER heard of such a thing. Trip advisor gives it 4s and 5s . Thank you so much.

Yotel is great!!
Shar, if you need to stay overnight, it will be better to book a "real" hotel.

I got mine at hotwire.com and the Sherator Heathrow cost me $68. The cab to the airport was like 5 pounds.

Actually, I don't think that you need 2 rooms at yotel for 2 people. The standard cabins are really only suitable for one (unless you can both sleep in single bed), but they have a premium options. The only caution is that they are very small and there is no privacy. At least in the standard cabin, the partition between the bed and bathroom area is clear glass. But they are very efficient and convenient.

I stayed overnight at the yotel at Gatwick before a 6am flight last year. While you may find something cheaper near the airport, it was really convenient to be right in the terminal and just be able to walk to check-in. Personally, this would be my first choice again for an early morning flight.
