No question. I like Helsinki and Oslo, but Stockholm wins hands down. I think Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I've been to all three & I liked all three. Liked Oslo much more that I was led to expect from other comments/readings, partly due to the fantastic museums clustered together on the island/peninsula of Bygdøy. Loved the unique vibe of Helsinki (and really love the Temppeliaukio Church) and the feeling that you were someplace great that relatively few people elsewhere in the world travel to. That said, Stockholm is beautiful, has great museums and great vistas, and is just an amazingly enchanting city. It's my favorite.

I lived in Stockholm for two years and loved it. It's an extremely nice city and very beautiful. Oslo, however, does put you near the fjords, which is truly amazing. If you plan on only visiting the city with no side trips, I would pick Stockholm. If you have time to travel a little more, I would do Oslo to Bergen (or Oslo to Bergen and Stockholm).

Hi Brendon, I've visited all three and agree that it's a difficult decision but I have chosen the smaller compact city of Oslo. Wonderful museums, parks, numerous convenient waterfront resturants, nice short day ferry trips to be taken and very easy to walk. Where ever you go take lots of money. All three locations are very expensive and worth every cent. Enjoy your trip.
