I am looking at transportation options (for 10 days) for Ireland in the RS Ireland book. So far this is the price breakdown I see: Irish Explorer - Rail and Bus - Republic Only - 8 days out of 15 - 220€ Irish Explorer - Rail Only------Republic Only - 5 days out of 15 - 180€ Irish Rover ---- Rail Only - Republic & North - 5 days out of 15 - 145€
Open Road Pass - Bus Only - Republic Only -- 10 days out of 20 - 147€ We will be based in Dublin for 10 days. I figure we will be doing mostly day trips - overnight if we have to. I think one - one day trip to Belast - N. Ireland. Which train or/and bus pass do you all think we should purchase? I thought about driving but I am dyslexic and driving on the other side of the road might be dangerous for me - plus, I am tired of driving so much ... Thanks for any advice!
It might be better for you to do point-to-point tickets. You need to investigate the prices for the trips you want to do and compare that with the passes. If Belfast is the only trip, you might even want to check out tour companies.
