Help! Looking for a good place to stay between Galway and tralee

We will be coming from Galway to Tralee along the coast and don't know where might be a good place to stay for the night. We are taking the ferry across the Shannon. Our next day is on to Dingle, but don't really see a good town to stop in. How is Doolin? Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Doolin is nice.... or if you wanted to get a bit further before stopping, you could stay in Lahinch. And if you stay in Lahinch, they have great food at the Corner Stone Pub.

We loved Doolin. Saw the Cliffs of Moher, walked out on the rocks on the beach, bought stained glass at the Burren Stained Glass shop, ate at O'Connor's pub and listened to music. We also stayed at Kilkee, a bit farther south but it was an easy drive to the ferry.

Doolin is a very nice place to stop. You can stay at Daly's B&B(excellent), park the car and walk to Gus O'Connors for dinner and traditional music. The next day when you leave you can stop at the Cliffs of Moher then head south to the ferry. Very nice way to do it.

Funny, we also stayed at Daly's. Susan was a great host, lovely rooms, excellent breakfast, easy walk to O'Connors (she has flashlights in the rooms for the walk, we had our own but still, nice touch). Her niece owns the B & B next door, Twin Peaks, I think is the name. I wouldn't skip driving (or walking) down to the beach/docks where the ferry departs and seeing the rocky waterfront behind the ferry buildings. Really neat!
