Heathrow to Bath by bus

We are arriving in Heathrow on a Sunday at 7:05 am on Delta. From the Heathrow map it looks like Delta arrives at T4. We are taking Rick's suggestion to take the bus from Heathrow to Bath. We will be traveling with just our carry on backpacks.

Does it sound feasible that we could get through customs and get to the bus terminal in time to take the 8:45 am bus to Bath?

How frequent are the shuttles from T4 to the Heathrow bus station?

Additionally, is it advantageous to purchase these bus tickets from the US?

Thanks for any feedback.

If your flight arrives on time and you get through immigration/passport control in less than an hour, you should easily be able to catch the 08:45 bus. The Heathrow central bus station is by terminals 1 & 3. Take the Heathrow Express from Terminal 4 to terminals 1 & 3. Trains run every 15 minutes and are free between the terminals.

Another option although it costs . . . if you get through customs earlier than you think you can pay a fee to get on an earlier bus. This is what we did. I was fairly conservative with our time, and we were travelling as a family of 4 in 2006. I think it maybe cost 5GBP to change to an earlier bus - however I was in the queue for some time, and at one stage wondered if we were going to make the earlier bus. Also there was no seat allaocation as I am used to here in Australia and getting a seat was a free-for-all. The kids sat together and my husband and I sat separately. However we all got there at the same time LOL.
