Looking for the most efficient way to Bath after landing at Heathrow, Terminal 4. Going to Bath for 3 nights then return to London for 6 nights. Read some suggestions in Rick's London Book, but would like some input as to any actual experiences. Thank you.

Take a read through that for the general options. What I will add is that Terminal 4 is probably the most inconvenient terminal to start from at Heathrow for connections to most places apart from London, as it is someone isolated. The National Express coach service is infrequent at best, and the Railair coach for Reading railway station doesn't stop there at all. It would probably be easiest, if not the cheapest to use the option of going into London Paddington and back out again by rail.
