We are arriving at Terminal 3 at Heathrow. Can anyone recommend an ATM in that vicinity? We will need some British pounds to pay for our transportation from the airport into London. Once in London we can look for a Bank ATM. Thanks for your advice.

if you have a few weeks before you leave, call your bank and order some pounds. you get a good exchange rate and you can pick them up before you leave home. you ccan also trade your money in the us before getting on a plane. last, it is an airport, there are atms everywhere.

There are plenty of ATMs in Heathrow. Look around when you are getting your luggage and exiting the terminal. The Heathrow website can be reached from www.baa.co.uk and may have a map with locations.

Do not, however, use the exchange desks at airports unless you have no option because their rates & fees are usually quite bad. The best is to use an ATM, and if you really want extra security exchange a small amount via a bank in the US before you leave.
