I need a hotel in Copenhagen. I have never used Priceline. Can any one give me feedback if they have used it and what was the result?
I've never used it for Copenhagen, but I was happy with our priceline hotel results for Brussels.

I've only used it once, here in the states. I got a great price on a double and the room was nice. No problem with checking in, either.
Just read all the fine print. They only guarantee a double, so if you need something bigger, it won't work for you. And I'm sure you know that once your bid is accepted, you're charged for the room, no cancellation.
I have used the "name your own price" option on priceline for both rental cars and hotels in the U.S. and have saved a ton of money. For example, I got a Boston hotel for this October for $90. The going rate (AAA discount) is $300. You do not know if you will get 2 smaller beds or one larger, but you can contact the hotel directly after the reservation has been made to make a request. Again - this is in the U.S. You don't know what hotel it is until the bid is accepted, so if you want to stay somewhere specific I would not recommend this method. When your bid is accepted you can't cancel. I have had good results and for European travel I like to pay in dollars when possible. I have used Expedia for Europe, but not Priceline.
I used Priceline in Copenhagen and it was great! The only 4 star that seems to be won is the Copenhagen Marriott. I paid $100 +fees and taxes which added up to a total of $125 per night in early July. The going price through the hotel was over $300. A good friend stayed there several years ago for $400 or so... Copenhagen is really expensive so I was thrilled. The Marriott has wonderful, large rooms with a/c. It's about a 5-10 walk to Tivoli or the train station. If you haven't used Priceline, be sure to check www.biddingfortravel.com that will give you lots of info about bidding successfully on Priceline and show you recent bids. Good luck!
