I am planning to travel to London this summer and I was hoping to make a day trip out of Hampton Court and Kew Gardens. Is it feasible to do both in the same day? I only have five days in London, so I am trying to make the most of them.
I know a lot of people would not agree with me on this, but we didn't like Kew Gardens that much. I could have spent a couple hours there and the rest of the day at Hampton Court. We did not do both of them in one day. We had a rental car and drove to Hampton Court and then on another trip, took the train to Kew.
Hampton Court could take most of day and it did for me. guided tour @ HC, gardens, HC interiors, lunch. But that's me it is a blockbuster of a sight.
I spent most of a day at Kew, and had a lovely tea, but I'm very garden nerdy... I don't see a problem combining those two, as long as you make a good start on the day.
Thanks for the opinions! I think we will probably try to get an early start and head to Hampton Court (a must-see for me) first. If we still have time when we are finished, I may still try to make it to Kew for an hour or two. We bought the London Pass, so both admissions are included, as well as fast-track pass for Hampton Court. London in 5 weeks...yay!
You will love Hampton Court! Have fun.
