Hi! am trying to figure out how to get from Hamburg to Aero by train initially, thinking about taking the Hamburg to Lubeck to Rodby train--but then unsure of how to get to the ferries to Aero. We have Eurail Denmark-Germany passes. Any suggestions would be most welcome. We will leave Hamburg on July 15th--thank you!

You can plan the route and buy tickets from Hamburg Hbf to Svendborg on Bahn's homepage (bahn.de). There is a departure from Hamburg at 8:43 arriving at Svendborg at 14:04. and then departures throughout the day every two hours. You will have to change trains in Flensburg and Odense. The price is only 29 EUR for the 8:43 departure if you book now. From Svendborg you take the ferry to Ærøskøbing.
