I've read threads re Hadrian's Wall from Durham. But if we're using York as our base, how practical is it to see the wall from York as a day trip WITH tour or public transp only? No matter what pls do not suggest our own car.

What's this, an annual question? I've only ridden the bus. How long it takes depends on how far west you go.

Hey sorry pal but I don't read this board 24/7 and I'm not real good at searching past msgs so I misses the "annual" answer to my post. But thx for pointing me to it. I'm sure it'll tell me what I need to know.
