Guernsey Accomodation

My husband and I and our 4 grown children are planning a trip to Guernsey for one week in late September. Would love recommendations of where to stay in St. Peter Port. We do plan an overnight to Sark Island. Has anyone ever stayed at La Madeleine Apartments in St. Peter Port? WE don't plan to rent a car, just take the bus all around the island hop off and hop on again for cliff walks, etc. Accomodations for this many of us is my priority right now (Apartment vs B&B vs hotel. Thanks ever so much!

I have no info to add, but I had wondered when we'd start seeing posts about Guernsey. I looked up some sights when I finished the book. I think it will turn out to be a big tourist booster.

For those who don't know, I'm talking about "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." It's a goofy name for a really good book.

This advice is a bit too late for Patricia but for anyone else visiting Guernsey who is a fan of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society the place to stay is The Ellingham Cottages in St. Martins. These cottages are in the heart of Potato Peel Pie land with a number of places mentioned in the book within walking distance of the cottages. When we went we book their Potato Peel Pie Offer and recieved a walking map of the places noted in the book plus as an additional bonus the cottages are in generally a really great place to stay. Clean, spacious, well maintained, very nice and helpful staff. I can heartily recommend The Ellingham.
