Goteborg or Arhus?

I have 5-6 days of travel prior to a conference in Aalborg,
Denmark. I have reservations at the Hostel in Copenhagen for 3 nights. I then planned on taking a train to Goteborg, Gotenburg, Sweden, spend one night then take the ferry back into Denmark Jutland Pennisula and catch a train down to Aalborg. Now I'm wondering since tie is limited, if I should just stay in Denmark and go to Arhus? Any recommendations one way or the other?

Goteborg felt like a big city to me. Denmark is pure pleasure; anywhere you go the people are friendly, the food is great, and the scenery and cultural opportunities very nice. Unless you have a particular reason to visit Goteborg (family heritage? Volvo factory tour?) you might do better to stay in Denmark.

My wife and I spent three nights in Goteborg, and absolutely loved it. We took the boat out through the harbor to the old fort that guarded the entrence to the harbor. There is a beautiful park and botanical garden, as well as a wonderful rose garden. All is walkable from downtown. And a great blvd of restaurants. So yes Goteborg is worth the time, but that said next time we will be doing Denmark, as we have yet to do that. Kevin

I would just stay in Denmark. Leave Sweden for next time. Copenhagen (København) will be plenty big city. Travel less and spend more on your time in the city and country!

Thanks for all of the response. I am leaving today and will be in Copenhagen for 3 days, then Aarhus for 2-3, then Aalborg for 4 days. Can't wait! Vikki
