Can anyone recommend a nice and somewhat cheap (100 pounds or less) bed and breakfast in London? Many of the ones listed in Rick Steve's are full. Our dates are September 10, 11, 12. Thanks!

Check the Arran House Hotel (www.arranhotel-london.com), a B&B in Bloomsbury that is highly recommended in the Lonely Planet London guidebook. If you want to save a lot of money, stay in one of their dorm-style rooms rather than in a regular private room. Everyone gets the full English breakfast.

In Nov 2006 I stayed at Garden Court Hotel. great value w/ brfast and central location for walking to sights or underground station. very safe area.

Have you tried Priceline? I know that's somewhat frowned upon on this board, but let's face it - the exchange rate is the worst it's been in 20+ years. Best to save everywhere you can. Biddingfortravel.com posts people winning 4 star hotels for $110-$120 for September '07. That's a lot more value for much less money than 100GBP. Haven't done it myself yet, but this will be my first pick the next time I'm in London.
