Any tips? Is it good, easy to navigate? Thanks!
We have used the subway many times, but not the busses. The subway system in a big oval with two sets of tracks, one going one way, one the other. Many hotels and the tourist information center have folder explaining the system. It is really easy to use although not always handy to the destination you may want to go to. We have only used the bus system to go to outlying communities so I have no knowledge of the city transit system. I do see busses all over the place though.
I agree that the subway is easy. I stayed in the west end and used it to get downtown. I think you'll be fine. Go to the TI and ask for advice. Pam
There are a variety of day passes covering various combinations of buses, subway and rail. These can cover a wide area outside Glasgow. For example a pass for subway plus rail for Greater Glasgow is £6. Details at the SPT site including prices, routes etc start at: http://www.spt.co.uk/travelcards/day-tickets/
Thanks for the help!
