We are going on a Hurtigruten Cruise and wondering if we should take the optional bus tour around the Gieranger Fjord

Is there an option where you can take the ferry or a boat tour of the fjord? The attraction of that beautiful fjord is the waterfalls - I don't think you would see much of those from a bus up above the fjord. The town of Geiranger is very small - one high quality sweater / pewter shop is about all there is. ( We visited there in June, 2005.)
