Getting to portmagee

Besides an automobile rental, what is the best way to get to Portmagee? I'll be coming from Dublin and I would like to spend a night in Portmagee before I head to Dingletown. Any suggestions? Also, what is the best way to get to Dingletown from Portmagee? I thank you in advance for any help.
