Getting to Dublin airport very early in AM

We have a 6:30 am flight on a Thursday out of Dublin airport to London. What is the best way to get to the airport and when should we be there by? Is a taxi best and do they run at 4am? Thanks.

It depend on whether you are flying to US or to EU. If you are flying back to states, then you should allow at least two hours. Otherwise, you should allow at least an hour. The best way to get to airport would be taxi. There should be no problem with the early morning departure. We recently took taxi to Dublin Airport and the cost was less than 40 euro. If you are staying in a hotel, they should be able to arrange a taxi. Make sure you state number of people and bags in case you need a van.

I've used Aircoach in the past and been very pleased with them, I believe they run every hour in the very early hours of the morning, and then more frequently after that.

I agree with Debra. We have left at all different times, including the 3:30am time, to get to the airport and have never had a problem getting a cab. We stayed by St Stephen's Green and for the 4 or us, it was around 22eu (including tip). Yes, if you're going to the US, I would err on the side of caution and arrive no later than 2 hours. We just got back from our trip and it took us a GOOD 2 hours to get through all of the hoops. (But, that was for a 12:40pm flight, so it may differ depending on the time of day.)

Thanks everyone for the advice. We'll take a cab to be on the safe side. The hotel said there should be no problem arranging for one at that time of day. Hopefully there should be no issues since we have a connecting flight at Heathrow to San Francisco, with 2 and 1/2 hour lag between flights.
