getting tickets for certain attractions in Oct. in London

I will be in London starting Sept. 30 thru Oct. 5th. Do I need to get tickets early here at home on my computer for these attractions or can we walk up the day of wanting to see it and buy at the actual place? Here they are: 1. Churchill War Rooms 2. Big Ben 3.Shakespeare's Globe Theatre just a looking at the place tour, though I saw Taming of the Shrew is showing in my Oct. time frame, can I wait and get tickets for that show at the theatre, the day of? 4.The London Eye Thanks,
Jana

Depends. Bought our Globe Tickets in advance. Glad we did. Got great seats. Performance was in May of 2011. Bought tickets online in March. It was a sell out. Had a wonderful evening. Here's what they say about Big Ben Tour tickets: http://www.parliament.uk/visiting/visiting-and-tours/ukvisitors/bigben/ You can wait to buy London Eye tickets till you are there to see what the weather is like. Why spend money for a certain day and time if all you'll see is rain streaking the plexiglass of the pods? Have taken the War Room tour twice. Both times bought tickets on the day of but this was in December and February.
If it eases your mind then buy all of your tickets in advance but that does lock you into specific days.

Tickets for performances at the Globe often sell out before the day. The Shrew one may be one of the final performances and they often sell out quickly, so I'd book online ASAP. If you just want a tour of the theatre, there are plays on during the afternoon and evening most days of the week, so if you want a theatre tour it's best to come in the morning.

Well, I'd never heard of tours of the clock tower. New one on me. Thanks. What I did notice, in those guidelines so kindly furnished by Claudia, is that it is Open to UK permanent residents only so unless you are one it is unlikely you can tour it.

thank's for all of your helpful advice! Appreciate it!! I was going to do the morning tour at the globe, but I then saw the performance for the shrew, I think it would be a fun play to see!!! I saw it done in Dallas many years ago, I KNOW it will be sooooo much better in London!!!!
