GBP's to Dollars

Hi folks. I have a fair amount of cash in pounds that I want to convert back to US cash (well really just want to put it back into my US bank account). Should I convert to US dollars while still in the UK? Or wait till I'm back in the states? Which has the best rate? Thanks!

When changing money, one always gets the best rate by buying currency in a country where it is used. Bring your GBPs home with you.
