What is the best way to be able to hike the 7 miles then get a ride back to my car? Bit confused about where to start and end to make this an easy day of exploration on foot.

We rarely do any kind of organized touring, but we did the jaunting car - return by boat day tour for this spectacular area. I realize that you want to hike down and have a ride back up.
