Galway/Salthill Area B&B suggestion

Hi Everyone, Anyone have suggestions for a B&B for a couple of nights in the Galway area. We are coming from Doolin, and plan to spend the first day mucking around in Galway, and then do RS Connemara circle route the next, departing for Donegal the morning after that.
Thanks in advance

Petra House in Galway. Wonderful B&B with even more wonderful hosts, Frank and Joan. Frank is a walking tour guide and can help you with all your needs/requests. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You have a full menu to choose from and can even have more than one item to fill you up so you can save money and skip lunch. It's located about a 5-10 minute walk from the center square in Galway. Very convenient. Parking right on site in front of the place. Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Check out the reviews on TripAdvisor if you want more input. I highly recommend Petra House!

Sea Breeze Lodge I stayed there back in 2007...thought it was really nice. The guy who runs it sometimes plays the piano. (at least he did back then!) check out McDonaghs for fish and chips in Galway...yummy

I would highly recommend Ardawn at 31 College Road. It's a short and comfortable walk tomthe city center. It's next to Petra, which was our first choice because we heard the breakfasts there were outstanding. When we arrived at Petra there was a RS group that had taken up the whole place, so we dashed next door to Ardawn to see if they had room. We were really happy with our choice. Breda, the owner, gave us a choice of 2 rooms - we picked one of the 2 top rooms - sort of in an attic with a high ceiling and a rooftop window. It was very clean, spacious yet cozy. The breakfast was delightful. Breda made our breakfast a la carte - delicious. Here are thenTrip Advisor reviews: http://www.trip advisor.com/HotelReview-g186609-d496703-Reviews-ArdawnHouse-GalwayCountyGalwayWesternIreland.html Hope you don't mind this unsolicited restaurant tip: Breda recommended her favorite restaurant/wine bar - it was fantastic! Very cool place at the Spanish Arc, next to the water. If you can, don't miss it! Here is their website with menu and photos. http://ardbia.com/restaurant Galway is a great town! Enjoy walking around & hopping in and out the different pubs. We caught some awesome music thanks to our hosts' suggestions. I wish I could go back! Can you tell? Cheers!

My friend and I stayed at the Asgard Guesthouse last summer. The owners were absolutely lovely, and the price was right. It is on College Road with all the other B&Bs. The website is: http://www.galway.net/pages/asgard/
