Can anyone recommend a bed and breakfast, reasonably priced, centrally located in Galway?
We stayed at Griffin's Lodge. It was clean, cost 40 Euros/person ensuite, a great breakfast, and Anne our hostess was the best. Rooms a little small, parking tight, but the Anne and the location will outweigh that. Located 2 blocks west, and 1 block north of the bridge by the Spanish Arch. Adare House nearby would be another one to check on because of location. Dan
In September, we stayed at the Lynfield Guesthouse on College Road, north of the square. Breakfast was very good. Parking was normal for a B&B--which means a bit tight. It was an easy walk to the center of town.
Like Dan, I stayed at the Griffin Lodge and recommend it. If you call ahead with your arrival time she will block off a parking spot for you. I also made an off-hand comment about never having tried black pudding. Lo and behold, there it was for me at breakfast the next morning. About a 10 minute walk to the main restaurant and pub area, 15 min walk to Eyre square
