We are taking a driving trip from Conwy to Cardiff in Wales next month. We have 4 nights and plan to spend at least the 1st night in Conwy. Any suggestions as to where to spend the next 3? We'd like to see the coast as well as some inland areas and take a few walks. Thanks for any help
I just did this trip in June. Conwy is lovely. There's a bird sanctuary across the estuary, and some good coastal walks in Llandudno.
Suggest you head out to Betws y Coed, stopping at the woolen mill in Trefrew. I've enjoyed the Afron View Guest House, also the Ferns next door. Best dinner at the Stables. Great walks in this area along the river and hills. There's a good tourist/park office which can make suggestions and provide maps and guides.
From here, wander south past the slate mines and moorlands, heading for Brecon. Brecon has some lovely walks in the national park there. I recommend the Grange Guesthouse - the people who run it can advise on walks.
