If you are flying into London today or tomorrow you may face delays. Heathrow Airport has been completely closed after a fire broke out on an Ethiopian Airlines jet near a terminal. It is another Boing Dreamliner 787 - the first to resume flying after the earlier groundings this year. This may put extra pressure on other London airports as flights are diverted. Today is the day that school breaks up for the summer in most English schools so the flights will already be very busy.
The airport is now back open but there may be delays, and BBC says that Dreamliners may end up grounded again if this is related to the battery problem. Photos show a clear burned area forward of the tail.
The batteries are in the belly of the plane, nearer the front, and not in the tail section. It is something else. Monday could be a bad day for Boeing stock.
